Well, its that time again friends…another season and yet another home tour. Let me show you around a bit and then at the end I will have all the shopping sources linked, so you can just click and shop! I will also introduce you to 11 other amazing bloggers for you to check out! If you haven’t guessed it already Autumn happens to be my favorite season…I mean its even in my name. I know I’ve said it before but to me Autumn is more than just a season, I feel like it is more of a feeling…one that I hope to convey to you by the end of this tour.
So lets get started upstairs in the bedroom. Without an endless supply of time and money…it seems like this space will always be a work in progress. So many more things I have in mind, but lets save that for another post. One of my favorite projects has been this vintage fireplace mantel that was gifted to me by the hubs. (yup major brownie points) I was so inspired by my friend on Instagram Jessica @the_rusticpallet, to add these vintage book pages. Can I just tell you how happy that made my “old book loving heart”! Then I added some fall touches…to the chair a cozy blanket from Marshalls that has lasted me so many seasons, a vintage pillow, and a fall themed Rae Dunn mug. To the mantel it was all about the pumpkins. When I saw this pumpkin sign from Pier 1, I knew I had to have it and because of its size I wasn’t sure where it would end up, this just seemed like the perfect place. The faded orange pumpkin on the floor is from Marshalls, as well as the wooden one on the mantel, the wheat wreath is from Target last year and the FALL banner can be found in the Target One Spot.
Moving around to the opposite side of the room. Can we just talk about this new bedding from Redland Cotton, click here to check out all of their amazing heirloom bedding. I just adore this ticking stripe pattern, it is just so perfect for fall. How about that adorable cream felt pumpkin on the bed too, as soon as I saw that bad boy at Marshalls I knew I wanted him for the bed, essentially to act as an accent pillow. Then of course I always have a fun styled tray on the bed just so, come on now who doesn’t?! (I’m kidding) But if I did always have a tray here, this is how it would be styled for fall…a yummy smelling pumpkin candle from my friend over at Bridgeway Scented Market, some dried wheat also from Target last year, and of course another Rae Dunn coffee mug…speaking of which, how about y’all grab a cup of coffee and then we can head downstairs for the rest of the tour.
You back with me now? The kitchen has so many fun spaces to change up, where to begin? How about the easiest space…the mug rack! First things first…are you a coffee lover? If you are and you don’t have one of these wall mounted mug racks, then you need one. After a few seasons, I had finally added a Christmas garland around the side of it and that was it, now it has to have a new one for each season. The one you see below is from Michaels. It came without the pumpkins, those came on little stems, in the same section, and I just twisted them in. Then of course I swapped out all of my mugs for the fall and Thanksgiving themed mugs.
Keeping with the coffee theme lets work our way around to the coffee station. This space was fairly easy to refresh as well. The pumpkin spice sign I had from last year, from my friends the Bexley Boys, and it is still available. The little pumpkin is from Marshalls and I found that this year, I just love the vintage coloring it has.
Now one of my favorite things to do when I decorate is to create tablescapes, even if they aren’t very functional with little ones running around. I still love them just the same and think they are so much fun, especially this one I created for fall! Of course sticking with my colors I chose to use blues and neutrals. I still can’t get over these adorable little velvet pumpkins from the Target One Spot this year! I knew I would be buying a ton of these and I love how they coordinate in this dough bowl centerpiece with this soft lambs ear that I found at AC Moore. The table runner is from Hobby Lobby last year.
The actual place setting is kept simple with galvanized chargers, that are really so versatile no matter what season. The ivory plates can be found at Hobby Lobby. The napkin ring was a Pier 1 find, and I’ll tell you why I love it so much…instead of spending a ton of money on pretty appetizer plates, these were less expensive alternative to top off this place setting. Then of course a simple ivory linen napkin.
Last but not least, the space where we spend most of our time, the living room. I swapped out the wreath above the t.v. and went with this pumpkin and lambs ear wreath I found at Homegoods. I added a few pumpkins here and there, but I think the biggest impact when changing for the seasons, is in the pillows! I always have neutral textured pillows year round, like the natural macramé and the braided tan ones, then I just swap out the seasonal ones. Like this Autumn pillow I found at Burlington Coat Factory last year, that I just couldn’t resist. I’ve also been eyeing velvet pillows at Pottery Barn, and so when I spotted these pretty velvety jewel toned blush pillows at Homegoods for half the price, you can imagine my excitement. I also found that pretty pumpkin lumbar pillow with the faded colors at Homegoods. P.S. do you see how excited our dog is that I’m decorating?! He can’t even take it.
So now that we wrapped up the living room, this is where I will leave you. But before you go, if you keep scrolling, you will find two things…first is direct shopping links to the exact item or a similar style, just click and it will take you right to the source but if you don’t see something your looking for let me know and I will try and find it for you. The second thing you will find are little sneak peeks at 11 other blogging friends and I hope you will visit them too, just click on their banner and it will take you right into their home. I hope you enjoyed this little tour, if you did please let me know in the comments! Until next time…
XoXo
