Easy Christmas DIY

by My Autumn Farmhouse Leave a Comment

My kids always want to help me decorate. So I love when I can find fun little DIY projects that they can help with. I think these little winter wonderland jars are so fun, and they are totally easy and inexpensive.

You will only need a few items. You will need a glass jar, I had mine but it was originally from Walmart and was less than $5.00, but I have also seen people make them in vintage blue mason jars and those look cute too. Then I purchased the snow flurries from Michael’s which was $3.99 and was 50% off, along with the bristle brush tree which was $2.99 and also 50% off. I would say one bag of flurries would give you at least 5 jars worth. Then I found the cute little house ornament from Hobby Lobby, and it was $5.99 and also 50% off. I chose the house and tree, but some other ideas would be just different sized brush trees, or a brush tree and a red truck with the tree on top, really whatever you want to put inside. So all together I spent less than $10 and it takes about 2 minuets to make.

Just sprinkle your flurries on the bottom. Place your items inside and literally that is it!

I snapped a quick pic of ours in the living room…mainly because at the moment it was the only spot that wasn’t a disaster. But I think making 3 of them and placing them in the kitchen like you would your baking canisters would be super cute for the holidays. So this is about as crafty as I get folks…what do you think?
